On February 18 our tekke opened the doors for the Sufi evening „The Wine of Love”. The program consisted of three parts: poetic, musical and philosophic.
Sufi poetry is very deep, lyrical and image-bearing, and the art of the reciters helped us to feel the rhythm, and the style of great Sufi poets, to take a thought about their deep meaning, woven inside.
The musical part of the Sufi evening featured the performance by one of the best ney masters in the world – Mohammad Rasouli, and by a wonderful musician and a Tombak and Daf virtuoso Omid Samari. This time we became acquainted with ancient musical instruments, both solo and duet. Unusual confluence of the Ney and percussion, the intonations, sounds of new instruments, mastership of the musicians hardly left indifferent anyone of present that evening.
Discussion with the Master rounded the evening off, it referred to the topic of love, life, harmony of love and being, that was a vivid process of thinking on the wine of divine love, which intoxicates and riles deep down inside, inspires and, after many trials, fills hearts with joy.
