On 23 September, 2017, on the brink of the IV International Festival of Oriental Music and Art “RUMI FEST” we had held the concert of Persian and Kurdish Music “the Path of White clouds”, which featured performance of the group of Iranian musicians led by Mohammad Rassouli.
Mohammad Rassouli is one of the best Ney players in the world, and in Riga, also at our venue, he has performed many a time and oft. That time, in the framework of the European tour, he brought to Riga his friends and members of the group: Mohammad Zolnouri (Tanbur, Tar, Setar, voice) and Hamidreza Ojani (Daf, Dokhole, voice), who sang for us in Kurdish Sorani. Whereas the magic Ney in Mohammad Rassouli’s hands took the audience to the world of Persian Sufi music. Each other’s complements, the musicians gave their listeners a special art-night as a gift, filled with love, joy of life and beauty.
